About SeeBeyondBorders UK

SeeBeyondBorders UK (SBBUK) is an independent development charity established in 2012. It has charitable registration in England and Wales (1146044) and a group of dedicated trustees. Together with SeeBeyondBorders Australia and SeeBeyondBorders Ireland, it supports SeeBeyondBorders Cambodia to work in partnership with Cambodian educators and improve learning outcomes for Cambodian children.

Serving as Board Chair, Mike has worked in education for 40 years, within the UK and internationally. He has served on the boards of a number of educational organisations including being Chair of The Federation of British International Schools in Asia.

Caroline Abel

Caroline studied Zoology at Oxford University and has worked in medical research for over 25 years.

Robyn Knox

Robyn Knox



Robyn volunteered with SeeBeyondBorders, in 2015, and currently works in strategy and transformation with the British Red Cross.

Sokphea Young

Sokphea Young



Sokphea Young earned a PhD from the University of Melbourne, Australia, and has more than 17 years of experience working with public and private sectors. He has also extensively conducted research on Southeast Asia’s political economy.

Nicola Taylor

Nicola Taylor



Nicola has worked in the international charity sector for 20 years in programme management, operations and governance. Since 2018 she has specialised in change management and currently works for Plan International UK.

James Neill

James Neill



James has worked in education for over 25 Years and has been working with international schools and governments to help improve standards.

Sarah Reynolds

Sarah Reynolds



Sarah volunteered for SeeBeyondBorders in Cambodia for a year in 2016 and then took on the role of UK Country Manager for six years. Her belief in our mission led her to join the trustee board in 2024.
